		<description>That&#039;s all true, but the summer shutdown&#039;s something different. It&#039;s been happening for a long time (how long?) and reflected a pretty confident industry, which you&#039;d think just isn&#039;t the case now.</description>

Arguably newspapers are returning to what they originally were. Pretty much basic information with lots of ads.

There&#039;s been a fair bit of commentary on the topic of the media from the Content Makers blog on Crikey but Inside Story also has an &lt;a href=&quot;http://inside.org.au/going-private/&quot; rel=&quot;nofollow&quot;&gt;interesting article&lt;/a&gt; on the subject.

My view is that something like Inside Story is the future of quality journalism because of Australia&#039;s small media market.</description>
